Make your own Wordle Typing in words to the Wordle page (or copying and pasting a paragraph, a speech, a blog etc) creates a graphic representation of the most frequently used words. Frequent words appear larger and less frequent words appear smaller.
Students might create an "About me" Wordle where they type in key words describing themselves, their interests, their goals and then repeat the key words that are most important to them (such as their first name).
Create a class wordle (or individual students wordles) at the start of a unit, having students provide key words that reflect their prior knowledge and understanding about a topic or concept. At the end of the unit, students can create their own Worlde and compare their understanding as represented in this graphic format.
